Galleria Transylvania is located in beautiful Glens Falls, NY--a small city which is situated about half-way between New York City and Montreal. The gallery can be found on the second floor of the "Shirt Factory"--a former textile mill which has been converted into retail and studio space. It can be found near downtown Glens Falls, at the corner of Lawrence and Cooper streets.

The owner of Galleria Transylvania is Adela Tavares, who was born Adela Teodora Langa in Timisoara, Romania, in 1977. Adela is herself an artist and uses a part of the gallery space as her studio. She has lived in the U.S. since 2002.

The gallery's purpose since its inception has been to make available to the American public the extraordinary arts and crafts of this east-central European nation. Art in Romania is extremely varied, from traditional handicrafts made in remote villages to avant-garde works from internationally reknown artists. Galleria Transylvania seeks to offer the best examples of all of these. Please stop by and take a look!
